Let’s Make Belleville’s Walk the Biggest Walk Yet!
On February 28, Grace Inn Shelter is hosting the Coldest Night of the Year, a 2.5 + 5 km winterrific walk hosted in 190+ cities across Canada in support of our work in Belleville with people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness.
• GOAL: With your help, our goal is to raise $65,000 by February 28, 2026!
• HOW: To accomplish our goal, we're looking for 50 Team Captains who will recruit 7-8 friends to their team, with a goal of raising $1500+ per team. Each member on your team can set of goal of finding 5 people to donate to their campaign.
• TOQUE BONUS: Every walker who raises either $75 (youth 17 and under) or $150 (for adults) gets our famous Coldest Night toque as thanks for being amazing fundraisers.

Services Provided by Grace Inn

Bed Spaces
Each guest is provided a semi-private space with a bed and footlocker for clothing and hygiene products to be stored.

Guests have unlimited access to essential items for personal hygiene, clothing, and self care.

Every morning Guests are provided with a full breakfast to prepare them for a successful day and a hot dinner during intake at night.

Systems Navigation is available to guests of the shelter, this program offers guests the support in achieving their goals, including housing, health and addiction reduction/recovery goals. At our Shiloh House location, each resident is provided case management to work towards their successful exit from homelessness to permanent, sustainable housing through workshops, house meetings and a personalized plan of targeted objectives.

Shiloh House is a 5 bedroom + 1 Accessible studio unit transitional house for male identifying individuals. Shiloh House is a housing sustainability program paired alongside an exceptional transition house.

Under the Grace Inn umbrella, Shiloh House opened in 2022, providing transition housing for eligible residents.
From folding sheets to cleaning floors, grocery pick-ups or simply signing up to help at one of our annual events, there’s lots of jobs to be done that can make a big difference!

Vince
Vince came to Ontario from Nova Scotia in 2020 to take care of his dying uncle. After his uncle’s death, Vince was unable to live in his home and this left Vince experiencing homelessness for the very first time in his life. After a short stay at Grace Inn, our Systems Navigation team helped Vince find a way to get back home.

"I was blessed to have the help of the Grace Inn staff. They gave me direction, motivation, and support. It took many tries to find stable housing. There were a lot of skills I had to relearn and healthy routines I had to get back into. The process is still ongoing but I wouldn’t be where I am today without the Grace Inn staff, friends, and family.

A spot opened up for us at the Grace Inn Shelter. The staff were very compassionate and were always asking if I was OK and if I needed anything. I was still working and they provided an awesome lunch and even woke me up when I asked.

Tito
Tito has been on and off the streets for over a decade, he has built a family from his friends on the street, making it difficult to move into housing and separate himself from his supportive community. Approached by his friend James offering housing, Tito took James up on his proposal and moved in. The difficult decision to leave a street family can make the choice to be housed without support all the more difficult, but Tito saw this opportunity as a way to support himself and his friend.
